Delayed, Part II

We posted a couple weeks ago that our home on the Lane is delayed.  You can check that out here.  Does this sound familiar?  It should because we had a very similar post back here.  It feels like a broken record at this point and we are seriously disappointed about it.

We've got the blues (again)!

Just as with the first delay, we've had a feeling for a while the house was not going to be finished on November 15.  Although when the first delay happened, the builders promised, basically guaranteed, that the house would be completed by November 15.  Sadly, November 15 is only 11 days away, and only 9 workdays.  There's no way we can go from this

to finished in 9 days.  So, we will tentatively now be closing on the new house on December 13, which is still almost 6 weeks away.  Since our original closing date in October has come and gone, we're just discouraged it will take this much longer to complete the house.

Fortunately, we are so blessed to be able to stay in our temporary housing as long as needed.  We are beyond grateful the condo we're renting is warm, comfortable, and that the owner (who is my sister's mother-in-law) is flexible enough to let us stay here for the duration of this crazy house-building endeavor.
